True to our mission of driving NFT adoption and real utility on Polkadot, the past few months have been all about pushing boundaries, and we’ve been working hard to make it happen.
Unique NFT Support Now on Nova Wallet!
We’re thrilled to share that the popular mobile wallet on Polkadot, Nova Wallet, now supports Unique NFTs!
Simply go to the wallet, then go to the ‘NFTs’ tab on the main portfolio page. There you will see all of your Unique NFTs in one spot!
At the time of writing, this feature is only available on iOS, with an Android version coming soon. We encourage you to follow the Nova Wallet team on X to stay up-to-date!
UNQ Staking is Also Live on Nova Wallet
That’s not the only feature that has been added to Nova, yes, you’ve read that right. UNQ token staking is also available on Nova Wallet! Meaning staking your UNQ tokens has never been easier.
- Go to your wallet in the Nova Wallet app
- Go to the dApp browser
- Tap on ‘Staking’
- Search for ‘Unique’
- Start staking!
UNQ Staking Also Available on SubWallet!
More Unique staking? You heard that right. SubWallet, another popular wallet app in the Polkadot ecosystem, has added Unique (UNQ) staking to its mobile wallet!
If you use the SubWallet app, you can access staking:
- Go to your SubWallet app
- Go to dApps
- Search ‘Unique Network’
- Start staking!
- Don’t forget to bookmark the dApp so you can access it whenever you want.

The NFT Ecosystem: Where it’s Going, our Takes & More
The NFT ecosystem is shifting in ways few could have predicted. Once seen primarily as quirky digital collectibles, think the early days of CryptoKitties, NFTs captured mainstream attention but soon earned a mixed reputation. Critics dismissed them as overpriced JPEGs, overhyped fads, or scams, often overlooking their potential beyond just speculation.
We think it’s safe to say that NFTs have matured. We’re seeing the continued growth of digital assets into more than just collectible pieces. They need to deliver tangible utility and foster real engagement, serving as a true bridge between the world of Web2 and the emerging possibilities of Web3.
Take July’s analytics for example; according to CoinTelegraph, NFT sales surged $574 million, climbing to the top in 6 months.
The reason for this? People’s views and the NFT narrative have shifted.
NFTs are no longer speculative assets or ride-the-wave hype. These are digital assets with backed utility, serving as core infrastructure, and enabling massive opportunities within the Web3 space, in gaming, AI, real-world assets, fan engagement, and content management.
It doesn’t stop there. CoinMarketCap also recently reported that the Total NFT Market Cap surpassed $6 billion. This isn’t ghost promises and over-hyped collectables driving this.
So, where are NFTs headed next?
NFTs are now becoming:
- Gaming economies
- AI model authentication
- Fan loyalty & engagement: proof of fandom, access, experiences, and engagement
- Digital identity: soulbound tokens, reputation systems
Take Mythical Games as a lead example for the NFT surge in adoption on Polkadot:
- Raised $37 million for their in-game marketplace
- Built games like NFL Rivals and Pudgy Party
- Issue millions of NFTs on Polkadot

NFTs are not only JPEGs that you collect, buy, sell, and make money from. They are very deep-level core technologies powering Web3 and beyond, uncovering new use cases every day, where we will eventually see NFTs in our daily lives.
For the Polkadot ecosystem to grow and adopt more NFT projects and encourage NFT development, Polkadot must proudly say:
