MultiMedia NFT Support & Marketplace Updates!
Since the original release of the Unique Marketplace in 2021, we’ve conducted extensive research to understand what makes an NFT marketplace truly impactful and successful in an ever-evolving landscape. With global NFT sales expected to reach over $40 billion by 2025, there’s no sign that NFTs are losing momentum anytime soon.
Last year, we unveiled our huge marketplace revamp with the power to empower you to create any kind of advanced NFT unique has to offer, from Nesting to Customizable NFTs.
In this marketplace update, we’re pleased to share the following updates:
- New Media Support (MultiMedia NFT Type): This includes fields for various media types such as images, videos, and audio.
- Metadata 2.0 Standard Support: All new collections and NFTs created on Unique are now using Metadata 2.0 Standard. The Metadata 2.0 Standard is a step up from the previous binary and compact encoding versions.
The Unique Schema V2 is an evolution from the previous versions, offering a more human-readable format, similar to the widely adopted Ethereum NFT Metadata Standards.
Note: To utilize these new features, you’ll need to create a new collection. Existing collections are not compatible with MultiMedia NFTs.
