As summer winds down, the fun is far from over! From enjoying beers at Polkadot Decoded to Proof of Attendance Badges from the Sovereign Nature Initiative, and tackling Unique Challenges on EasyA, it's been an action-packed month! Dive into all the exciting highlights from July:

Bringing Nature Closer to Web3 with the Sovereign Nature Initiative

In July, we teamed up with the Sovereign Nature Initiative (SNI) and WalletConnect to bring Dynamic DOTphin NFTs to Polkadot — enabling users to be part of an engaging community, participating in selected events through supporting biodiversity restoration.

SNI is an organization dedicated to ecological and biodiversity restoration, working to achieve a thriving planet by tapping into the digital realm (e.g. Web3 & Blockchain Technologies).

Through this unique collaboration, we developed Proof of Attendance Badges as distinctive NFTs on Unique Network & Polkadot. These badges will evolve into a dynamic multi-pass called DOTphin, supporting biodiversity restoration and driving real-world positive change in the ecosystem.

As the tech partner, Unique focuses on the dynamic aspect of the NFTs, enabling SNI to have verifiable dynamic data updates on-chain, with each token evolving based on user engagement — creating personalized and interactive experiences for each attendee.

The Proof of Attendance Badges were first dropped at Polkadot Decoded, 2024 in Brussels, Belgium! Attendees (including EthCC attendees) were able to claim one out of 3 random badges (Earth, Air, or Water), each supporting biodiversity and event participation!

Unique Attends Polkadot Decoded, 2024!

Polkadot Decoded kicked off this summer in Brussels, Belgium, simultaneously running with Ethereum’s biggest crypto conference, EthCC! And you bet the Unique team attended!

Polkadot Decoded Day #1 started with incredible talks from Polkadot projects, Björn’s keynote speech on the Impact Stage talking Polkadot’s highlights and a new Polkadot app and we also had the announcement of a Nova Wallet Debit Card!

Polkadot Day #2 featured thought-provoking talks, engaging conversations with community members, and lively discussions about NFTs at the Unique Booth!

Not only that, we have to give a special shoutout to the wonderful Jillian Godsill for her tremendous work hosting the Impact Stage at Decoded!
