Community Rewarding with Soul Bound NFTs
NFTs, digital collectibles, and real-world assets are on the rise and continue to unpack countless opportunities for community growth, engagement, and community rewards. From AI integrations, DeFi, and Web3 Gaming, it’s clear that community involvement will be more prevalent in accelerating project growth.
A growing demand for meaningful connections and personalized experiences has fueled this shift. Community site visits have increased by 64% over recent years, and revenue in the NFT market is projected to reach US$2,877.00m in 2025. The number of Web2 users who will transition to Web3 is growing and is expected to reach 16.35 million by 2028.
Soul-bound NFTs are just one aspect to it, albeit, provide a great value and incentive for online Web3 communities. Soul-bound NFTs (SBTs) or Non-Transferable NFTs are a type of NFT that cannot be transferred or sold on the marketplace. This NFT, once created, is locked to your wallet indefinitely.
These NFTs can represent or be in the form of:
- Certificates
- Special achievements
- Memberships, and
- Important data records like patient information or affiliations.
Usually, Soul Bound NFTs are individual to the person and hold some kind of unique information of the token holder. Regular NFTs, such as Native, Customizable, Nested, or Multimedia NFTs can all be traded and sold on Web3 marketplaces.
We first need to understand the current challenges many communities face with user engagement and project onboarding processes and how this can be solved with the right tech and tools.
The Problem
Since the dawn of projects on Web3, there has always existed an underlying layer for project growth and success: the community. A community for NFT projects, DeFi, gaming, finance, etc usually exists on popular channels like Telegram or Discord. But in recent years, we’ve seen users get burned out.
People get exhausted from completing project tasks, they’re not incentivized enough or interested in getting involved with the project. A common problem amongst Web3 projects.
DragonSoulBoundNFT aims to solve this challenge with their NFT platform, developed on Polkadot with Unique’s NFT technology stack.
DragonSoulBoundNFT aims to:
- Build a fully fledged ecosystem where NFTs act as tools for community engagement and continuous development.
- Give Web3 communities features that are customizable and flexible to enhance engagement.

These technologies will empower users to create, customize, and manage their NFTs in innovative ways.

“Since my time as a student, I have been fascinated and passionate about NFTs. This led to the creation of DragonSoulBoundNFT, my first project on the Web3 platform, with the hope of showcasing the benefits NFTs can bring to the Web3 community.
The project draws inspiration from the OpenGuild Community and incorporates features such as membership management, leveling for members, and rewards based on their contributions to the community.
Our goal is to enable communities using our platform to easily leverage the existing functionalities of NFTs on the Unique Network for their community systems. DragonSoulBoundNFT serves as both a tool and a bridge connecting communities with their members.
Additionally, members who own NFTs on our system can showcase all the NFTs they possess, making them publicly viewable. This acts as a sort of resume on the digital blockchain platform—an incredible concept.
We hope that in the near future, our platform will be widely adopted and enthusiastically embraced!”
